Our Story
We’re HEM Housing, three friends who grew up together in Panama City, Florida, and found ourselves sharing the same dream, bringing the peaceful, unforgettable experience of staying on a houseboat to anyone who visits our hometown. We’ve spent our whole lives on this water fishing, hunting, exploring, and enjoying God’s beautiful creation, We always felt that everyone should get the chance to feel that same calm and happiness that the bay has given us. That’s why we decided to start building and renting houseboats ourselves, using our own hands and our own ideas to create something that feels personal, intentional, and full of heart. Every boat we build is designed to slow life down just a little. We want people to wake up surrounded by water, breathe in the quiet, and experience Panama City in a way that feels peaceful and freeing. Whether someone is here for adventure, a romantic getaway, family time, or simply to unplug from the noise of the world, we hope our houseboats give them a place to truly relax and make memories they’ll never forget.
